Why so Random- Hell
Cursed Savior

Pine wood trees left the air smelling as such and wind whistled high in the branches as she burst through the underbrush breathlessly wheezing as she ran through the woods not able to enjoy the usual serene smell of dirt and moss. Ragged and tired she pressed on with what remaining strength she had left, and that wasn't much and fading fast. Slipping and stumbling, she hunched over to brace against a tree trunk to keep from falling face first into the dirt and quickly pushed off again keeping enough balance to continue on. In reality she knew it was just toying with her, it should have caught up with her in no time. She was already signed for death. It was a simple, irreversible fact. But, she had to try.

Her hands were scrapped and bloody as she ducked and weaved through the branches, leaving an easy trail to follow through the thick web of moss covered trees. Though the air was damp from a recent spout of rain earlier that day but this night run left her throat dry it stung and cried for water, for relief, but she couldn't stop.

Must continue, otherwise it would be the end. It would just be giving up her life and that wasn't something she wanted to just hand over, no matter how pointless and one sided the fight was.

Crashes echoed, branches snapped, birds chirped in anger at the disruption as something lunged, landing with a crashing boom not far behind. The howl, a cascading ripple through the wind, long and followed by a hungry growl of anticipation. It was a roar for the thrill of the hunt, the chase, itching for the kill. It’s blood pounding in madness. The growl left the imprint of baring fangs, large and dripping with saliva, eyes unnatural and lit by hungered anger- sent a wave of chilled shivers up her spine and burned in the mind. Risking a paused to take a chance to look behind her and saw nothing.

          Yet.

The young man’s name was Ric. His head lulled. His head lulled. His vision swam before him seeing three, four, five versions of his attacker drifting in and out in front him like a swarm of identical ghosts weaving in and out of each other as they sneered at him. The Demon's eerie red eyes tripled before him and Ric felt a wave of nausea wash up from his stomach and into his throat where it stayed.
